AMACO to Attend NAEA Convention With Potter's Wheels

INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwire - April 12, 2010) -  The National Art Education Association (NAEA) 2010 Convention is being held in Baltimore, MD, from April 15th through April 17th at the Baltimore Convention Center. The convention is a showcase of products, techniques and services for all art educators. The American Art Clay Company (AMACO) will be exhibiting their latest products as well as offering Lesson Plans and tips for success in the classroom at booth #547. This year's booth will also be abuzz with art demonstrations, free posters and contests highlighting AMACO potters wheels.

When you visit AMACO's booth, the featured art demonstrations will not disappoint. Artists Helen Bradley and Michelle Zimmerman will be working with Balsa Foam, while AMACO MFA's and educators offer hands-on guidance with AMACO's line of top quality non-toxic glazes. In addition to AMACO's own booth many of their distributors will be exhibiting and offering their own demonstrations of a full line of products perfect for everything from classroom ceramics to sculpture. Visit Chesapeake Ceramics booth #514 for a demonstration on the mini slab roller and the use of texture molds. For a demonstration with Friendly Plastic, visit booth #401: School Specialty/SAX. With so many of AMACO's distributors at the convention, it will be hard not to miss their great products!

Back at AMACO's booth #547, expert sales staff members will be on hand to answer all of your product questions. While there, be sure to pick up a free poster featuring the full line of AMACO's current low fire lead free glaze and under glaze colors to hang on your wall for frequent reference.

If that is not enough, AMACO will also be hosting a wheel throwing contest at their booth. Anyone can enter the contest, even if you have no experience at all. The two daily prize winners will each receive a $100 AMACO gift certificate. The grand prize winner will win an AMACO potter's wheel. There will be two different categories (experienced or novice) for the contest each day along with a daily theme. The grand prize winner will be chosen from the four daily winners.

The highlight of every NAEA Convention is the AMACO booth. For further information about the 44th NAEA Convention or the supplies available through American Art Clay Company visit www.AMACO.com, or call (800) 374-1600.
