AND welcomes Rob Westerhof as member of Supervisory Board

ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - January 15, 2010) -

AND International Publishers NV welcomes Rob Westerhof as member of the Supervisory Board of the company. He has been appointed by the shareholders with immediate effect.

The provider of digital mapping data has realized the wish to strengthen the Supervisory Board. Chairman of the Supervisory Board, which now consists of two members, is Piet Middelhoven.

Chief Executive Office Maarten Oldenhof is very pleased that Rob Westerhof agreed to take a seat on the AND Supervisory Board: "We searched for a board member with international experience and knowledge of the markets in which we operate. The network of Rob Westerhof and his experiencing at a multinational such as Philips will be invaluable for AND. I am therefore very happy that he wants to join AND."

Rob Westerhof (66) was born in Rotterdam, after a study business economics at the Erasmus University he had a long international career at Philips. For this company he was Chief Executive Officer of Philips Asia in the nineties. In 2002 he became President of Philips North-America. With effect from 2004 Westerhof was Chairman of football club PSV Eindhoven for two years.

At the moment Westerhof is supervisory board member of Dutch companies Nucletron and Teleplan and the Chinese company TCL.

AND is the third largest supplier in its market, but the only independent one. Strengthened by its success to date, the company will continue to focus on creating long-term value for shareholders by providing digital maps for location-based services. Also, through the newly signed contract, the company is able to accelerate further development of its advanced database and so position itself even more effectively in the market. The required investments can be financed entirely from the company's own capital.
