ATCO Restores Yukon Waterway Legend

'MV Dorothy' 75 Year Old Research Survey Vessel Ready for Launch Summer 2008

WHITEHORSE, THE YUKON--(Marketwire - Nov. 8, 2007) - One of ATCO Groups oldest companies, Yukon Electrical Company Limited, began sailing the Dorothy on the south lakes of the Yukon River in 1932 when she was purchased by founding shareholder W.L. Phelps.

At a ceremony unveiling the totally refurbished vessel, Nancy Southern, President and Chief Executive Officer of ATCO Group commented that "The Dorothy has a rich and colourful history representative of the Yukon and her uniquely diversified people. It gives ATCO and our Yukon Electrical Company Limited, great pride to return the Dorothy to Whitehorse in this pristinely restored state for all Yukoners and visitors to remember the stories of her past, and it is my hope that she will also serve as a reminder of ATCO Group's commitment to Yukon's future.

The 'MV Dorothy" is a 33 foot wooden motor vessel built in 1932. Over the years she has sailed as a research vessel and was seconded by the US military who kept her under US command throughout World War II.

The restoration of the 'MV Dorothy' is one of many events to have marked the 60th anniversary of ATCO this year.
