Abacast Announces New Board Members and Record 2009 Revenues

Tim Napoleon, Former Chief Strategist at Akamai and John Kesler, VP of Business Development for Emmis Communications Join Abacast's Board of Directors; Abacast Reports Record Revenues in 2009, Its Fourth Consecutive Year of Double Digit Revenue Growth

CAMAS, WA--(Marketwire - February 11, 2010) - Abacast, Inc., a provider of streaming solutions for the online radio and video industries, has today announced two new Board Members and record revenue for 2009.

Tim Napoleon, currently co-founder and President at AllDigital (, joins Abacast's Board, bringing with him a wealth of both business and technical experience in the streaming media and digital advertising space. Most recently, Mr. Napoleon was the Chief Strategist, Media and Entertainment, for Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), working directly with enterprise and media companies such as Apple, MLB, XM Satellite, MTV, NBC, and News Corp. He received his MBA degree from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business after earning his undergraduate degree in Communications from the California State University at Fullerton.

John Kesler, currently VP of Business Development at Emmis Indiana Broadcasting LLP, a division of Indianapolis based Emmis Communications ( (NASDAQ: EMMS), is also joining Abacast's Board. Mr. Kesler has been in the terrestrial radio industry since 1976 and has held a variety of executive positions. Prior to his current role at Emmis, John worked for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corp. as the Director of Sales where he worked with such companies as the ABC Television Network, ESPN, Fox Sports, and CBS to secure advertisers and sponsors for the telecasts of IMS/IRL owned sanctioned events. While at Indy, John worked on several projects that broke audience size records for the streaming of live sports events.

Separately, Abacast announced 18% revenue growth and record revenues for 2009, its fourth consecutive year of double-digital top-line growth.
