AccelRate Raises Capital Through Private Placement and Loan

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 25, 2008) - AccelRate Power Systems ("AccelRate") (TSX VENTURE:APS)(FRANKFURT:KCG), the technology leader in "High-Speed" battery chargers, announced today that it has arranged to sell up to 166,627 Units by way of a non-brokered private placement at the price of $0.18 per Unit, to raise gross proceeds of approximately $30,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one-half non-transferable share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant will be exercisable to acquire one additional common share of the Company for $0.22, for up to one year after closing. The private placement is subject to acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange.

In addition to the private placement as a means to provide AccelRate with the working capital required at this time to continue its sales and marketing efforts, Reimar Koch, the President and Chief Executive officer, has provided a loan to AccelRate in the amount of $66,500. The Loan will bear interest at the rate of 10% per annum and will be secured, together with the other indebtedness of the Company to the lender (totaling $893,500), by a general security interest in all present and after acquired personal property of the Company.
