Action Products 2008 Line-Up Succeeding at Current Toy Preview Event

Two New Lines and a Rousing Re-Launch Get Rave Reviews From Chain Buyers

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - October 12, 2007) - Action Products International, Inc. (NASDAQ: APII), a leading toy designer and manufacturer of educational and positive, non-violent branded toys and activities, received enthusiastic responses to its 2008 product lines this week at the Fall Toy Previews, a closed industry event going on in Dallas this week. "We've had an overwhelmingly positive response from buyers to virtually all of our new products, including our re-launching of Curiosity Kits®, and our new OLogy® and One-on-One™ branded lines. The team has done a brilliant job of creating a comprehensive, on trend, mix of crafting and fun activities," said Rick Malagodi, president and chief operating officer.

The precursor to Toy Fair in February, Fall Toy Preview is a "by appointment only" event where toy manufacturers privately show their newest product lines to long-lead buyers, national and international retailing chains. It is at this event where buyers and marketers from the best retailing chains in the world meet with and review manufacturers to consider purchases for the following year. On hand are Toys-R-Us, Target, Michael's, Borders, and many other of the retail chains from around the world.

The event marks an important debut of Action Products' recently announced return of Curiosity Kits® founder, Susan Magsamen, to the company's brand management team. "Buyers were immediately receptive to the new packaging and features of Curiosity Kits®," said Lisa Hamm, spokeswoman for the brand. "The 2008 packaging shows exactly what you're getting, so we can really showcase the quality of the materials you get from Curiosity Kits®." In addition to new boxed kits, newly designed QuicKits™ and Party Packs™ (with enough materials for 10 kids to create their own crafts) by Curiosity Kits® will debut on shelves next year.

Also getting great review is the successful debut of the OLogy® brand from Action Products, in coordination with the American Museum of Natural History. "OLogy® is a cool new rendition on learning by fun," said Malagodi, "and we debuted One-on-One™ sports-themed Play & Store™ Bitty Buckets™ as well as expansions and updates to the Play & Store, I-Dig, and Space Voyagers lines for 2008."

In February, Action Products International will participate in Toy Fair, the largest toy trade event in the Western hemisphere, where exhibitors present the newest and hottest products in the children's entertainment marketplace.
