AfterCollege Donates 5% of Ecommerce Revenue to Haiti Earthquake Relief

A Portion of January Ecommerce Revenue Will Be Earmarked for Charities That Are Helping Victims of the Haiti Earthquake

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - January 14, 2010) - AfterCollege plans to give a portion of its ecommerce revenue to help victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti this week. The donation will equal 5% of all ecommerce revenue generated from self-service purchases on AfterCollege.com for the entire month of January.

Employers buying postings or posting credits on the AfterCollege web site or on partnering academic sites will see 5% of their purchase go to the Haiti relief effort. "Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere and it's a real tragedy to see so many people affected by this catastrophe, especially in a country that is not prepared to deal with these natural disasters," said Roberto Angulo, CEO of AfterCollege. AfterCollege will make its donation through the American Red Cross.

AfterCollege encourages everyone to get involved in the relief effort. Those who are unable to post are urged to make a donation by going to the American Red Cross web site at http://www.redcross.org/.
