Agriculture Companies Missing Out on Much-Needed Funding

CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2010) - Northbridge Consultants – Agriculture companies, like many others, stay competitive because of their ability to develop, or improve on, their products or processes. These activities can require substantial initial investment and would be eligible for the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program.

The SR&ED program is run by the CRA and is applied for through a company's tax returns. As filing is technical in nature, most companies benefit from the assistance of a consultant who knows the program well.

What is the benefit? By becoming involved in this government program a company could be eligible to recover up to $0.68 on every qualifying labour $1 spent. This cash refund can then be reinvested in any way the owner sees fit for things like: facility upgrades, equipment financing, or growing the business.

"Our SR&ED experts specialize in working with companies to maximize their returns, without leaving anything on the table," comments Sol Algranti, President and CEO of Northbridge Consultants. "Northbridge has over twenty years experience in the SR&ED program."
