MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - April 20, 2010) -  AirTight Networks®, the leading provider of wireless intrusion prevention systems (WIPS) and services, today announced that Jack Torgow has been named Vice President, North American Sales. Mr. Torgow has been with AirTight for four years serving in several sales positions, most recently as Director of Sales, North America. Torgow reports to David King, chairman and CEO of AirTight.

The Company also announced that Tom Conklin has been promoted to Managing Director of Government Sales, recognizing the contribution he has made to bringing AirTight into many of the most important and security conscious civilian and military organizations in the U.S. government. Mr. Conklin has vast experience working with both DoD and civilian agencies helping them to protect both wired and wireless networks from wireless threats, ranging from authentication and encryption to wireless intrusion prevention. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT field, with specific expertise in government solutions. For the last nine years Conklin has focused on the Information Assurance arena with specific emphasis on Wi-Fi security and providing Wi-Fi security solutions which meet various government regulations including DoD 8100.2, AR25-2, and DISA's wireless STIG.

"AirTight continues to achieve explosive customer growth in both the commercial and government sectors in the U.S. even during the current economic downturn," said David King, chairman and CEO of AirTight. "Both Jack and Tom have contributed to that growth in significant ways and demonstrated the kind of leadership qualities necessary to bring our sales organization to the next level. I am proud to have the experience they bring to AirTight's team and to recognize their achievements both individually and collectively."

"The ever expanding use of wireless in the enterprise as well as the number of consumer Wi-Fi devices which are brought into organizations continues to grow and present major challenges to enterprises trying to prevent unauthorized access to their networks," said Torgow. "AirTight's continued double digit growth is a strong indication that the enterprise both recognizes these challenges and sees the need to find the best technology to address current and emerging wireless threats. AirTight has the right technology at the right time and I am delighted to be part of this exciting time in the industry."

Conklin added, "At this time in our country and the world, it is more important then ever to harden our military and civilian agencies, as well as our critical infrastructure against cyber threats and unauthorized Wi-Fi access.
