Alberta Forest Fire Seen From Space

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 25, 2009) - This roiling plume of smoke, a controlled fire set in the mountains near Cranmore, Alberta, was taken by Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Bob Thirsk from the International Space Station. Strong winds had pushed the smoke towards areas of Calgary and Cochrane, generating concern among its citizens.
