Alert Logic Awarded Patent for Intrusion Detection Solution

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - January 5, 2010) - Alert Logic, a leading provider of managed security and IT compliance solutions, today announced it has been granted a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in support of the company's intrusion detection solution, Threat Manager.

The patent, Threat Scoring System and Method for Intrusion Detection Security Networks, covers Alert Logic's unique ability to reliably detect network threats, assign proper threat levels and eliminate false positives that commonly plague other intrusion detection solutions. The patent was issued as number US 7,594,270 B2 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
