Alert Logic Continues Customer and Revenue Growth in 2009

Strong Performance Driven by Successful Channel Partnerships and Customer Adoption Tied to Increased Focus on Moving IT Infrastructure to the Cloud

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - January 25, 2010) - Alert Logic, the smartest choice for securing networks and ensuring compliance, today announced that it continued its strong record of revenue and customer growth into the second half of 2009. Alert Logic grew revenue by 52% to $10.8 million in calendar 2009, and increased customer count by 45%. The results were driven by the successful execution of Alert Logic's strategy to enable service providers to deliver cloud-powered network security and compliance solutions.

Alert Logic's customer growth spanned a wide range of industries including energy, technology, healthcare and retail. As anticipated, compliance requirements, especially Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, drove much of this growth. In fact, more than 60% of customers are using Alert Logic's solutions to comply with regulatory mandates, and more than 75% of those customers are specifically addressing PCI requirements. For example, any company handling credit card data must comply with the PCI Data Security Standard. Alert Logic's cloud-powered IT compliance and security solutions are designed to allow merchants to meet several critical PCI requirements easily and cost-effectively.

In addition to compliance requirements, Alert Logic's channel program targeting IT service providers continues to be a key factor in the company's rapid growth. Alert Logic's managed solutions that combine intrusion protection, vulnerability assessment, log management and 24x7 threat surveillance are designed for service providers such as hosting providers, MSPs, and VARs.
