AltaLink Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 14, 2008) -


AltaLink, L.P., Alberta's largest electric transmission services provider, today announced the hiring of Joseph Bronneberg as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He joins AltaLink effective immediately.

Mr. Bronneberg brings more than 30 years of financial experience to AltaLink, most recently as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TVI Pacific Inc. Previously, Mr. Bronneberg also held Vice President and Chief Financial Officer roles with Luscar Ltd., Sherritt International's Oil and Gas Division and the Bowlen Group. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Commerce from the University of Alberta.

"Joe's expertise in capital and debt markets will be key to AltaLink's ability to continue to raise the capital required to support Alberta's growing need for electricity infrastructure," said Scott Thon, AltaLink President and CEO. "His previous experience in Alberta's energy industry will be a great benefit while working within the regulated transmission industry in our province."

Richard McCabe, who has been AltaLink's interim CFO, remains with AltaLink as its Vice President, Controller.
