Alto Group Holdings Updates Golden Arrow Assay Results

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 13, 2010) - Alto Group Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: ALTO) ("Alto Group" or the "Company") today wishes to announce further assay samples of the "Golden Arrow Vein" from the Alto-Ashanti Project's Nkwanta Concession in Ghana, West Africa.

A series of 23 samples were acquired by chip sampling between 0.5 and 1 meter intervals of the host rock metavolcanics in the footwall (floor) and hangingwall (ceiling) and the Golden Arrow Vein.

The composite averages are as follows:

Footwall: 8 chip samples averaged 10.12 g/t (0.325 ounces per ton)

Golden Arrow Vein: 7 chip samples averaged 70.96 g/t (2.284 ounces per ton)

Hangingwall: 7 chip samples averaged 26.9 g/t (0.867 ounces per ton)

The samples were acquired along strike of the 2 meter wide underground workings at 5 meter spacing for approximately 40 meters of lateral evaluation. The calculated average grade of the sampling program in the underground drift is 1.16 ounces per ton across the width of the adit.

A small bulk sample prepared by the local miners of 800 pounds of the vein material was crushed and subjected to outmoded mercury recovery extraction and returned a calculated grade of 66 g/t from gold weight or 2.12 ounces per ton. This is a near direct comparison to the average of the chip samples. The Company is therefore comfortable in estimating that the Golden Arrow Vein, in this location, carries an estimated grade of approximately 2 ounces per ton and will be the immediate focus of the first drilling target in the upcoming spring drilling program.

The 2010 surface exploration program involves trenching out the eastern extension of the Golden Arrow vein by digging pits of 12 metres in depth to reach the vein. Once the trench is completed, a chip sample will be taken across the entire trench and will provide additional information for diamond drilling.

Currently, Alto staff and geological personnel are conducting a follow up and evaluation of the Golden Arrow with a crew of 35 people who are excavating and trenching. Alto Group Holdings Inc. submits samples for analytical work to Transworld Laboratories Ghana located in Tarkwa, Ghana for Au fire assay.
