American Museum of Natural History's OLogy Wins Dr. Toy®'s Top 10 Best Educational Toy of the Year Award

Institute for Childhood Resources Picks the OLogy Germ Soap Kit as One of the Top 100 Best Children's Products for 2008 Award

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - September 25, 2008) - Dr. Toy awards American Museum of Natural History's OLogy Germ Soap Kit manufactured by Action Products (NASDAQ: APII) with the Top 10 Educational Toy of the Year and the Top 100 Best Children's Products for 2008 Awards in recognition of the category-leading educational and developmental value that the OLogy branded products deliver.

One of 14 new toys from the American Museum of Natural History's OLogy line, Germ Soap lets kids make their own glycerine soaps in the shape of common bacteria while also learning about the important role microorganisms play in the ecosystem.

"Innovative science education is a priority in all our toys," says Lisa J. Gugenheim, Senior Vice President for Education, Government Relations, and Strategic Planning at the American Museum of Natural History. "The OLogy line is developed with input from our top scientists and educators and we're excited to be recognized for our commitment to quality educational products that spark scientific interest in kids."

The prestigious Dr. Toy award selection process identifies the very best of children's products from amongst thousands and from around the world. Dr. Toy's award criteria set high standards of safety, design, durability, diversity, price, social responsibility, uniqueness, and other benefits which offer children the most optimal learning, play and fun experience. "Children learn best through play," says Dr. Auerbach (aka Dr. Toy), "and these smart toys and products encourage children to maximize their potentials." Award winning products are affordable, well designed, and reflect the wide range of children's developmental needs and interests.

"This renowned award reflects Action Toy Company's strategic focus of offering uniquely fun children's products with best-of-class educational value. Action Toy is truly honored to work with the American Museum of Natural History to create such high quality toys," notes Ken Ninomiya, VP Business Development, Action Products. The first series of products from the OLogy line up is expected to be in retail for this holiday season and is part of Action Products' renewed effort to bring top selling brands with the educational, craft and non-violent toy segment.
