NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 7, 2010) -  Along with the iPad's official release last weekend, Animation Collective launched Ellen's Acres Puzzle Pieces, its first iPad application. The app is an interactive storybook based on an original episode of Ellen's Acres and is a literacy tool suited for the iPad's large screen and multi-touch interfaces.

The book is loaded with animated pages and features including high definition images, official audio and sound effects. Read along with Ellen as she realizes that Mr. Martinez's chameleon carrier, along with many other things have gone missing. It is up to Ellen to solve the puzzle. To do so, she must use her lucky lasso to find her friend Fred, discover the Alien Treasure Stone, and solve the puzzle of the Sphinx!

"Like all of our properties, Ellen's Acres was created as a multiplatform experience and we are very proud to be included in the first set of applications released for the iPad on its opening day," said Pablo Quinteros, Animation Collective's director of interactive technology and the application's creator.

The app is available for free download at the iPad App Store on iTunes. Additional Ellen's Acres applications will be available for sale in coming weeks.

Created and produced by Animation Collective's CEO Larry Schwarz, Ellen's Acres airs in multiple countries around the world. Fans of the series can continue the Ellen's Acres experience online with exclusive games and activities at www.ellensacres.com.
