Anterra Energy Announces Extension of Closing for Second Tranche of Alliance Financing

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 30, 2009) - Anterra Energy Inc. ("Anterra" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AE.A) advises that the closing of the second $12,000,000 tranche of its previously announced $15,000,000 private placement with Alliance Success Holding Group Limited ("Alliance") has been extended to January 15, 2010. Also, as previously announced, the Company closed the first tranche of $3,000,000 on November 23, 2009.

The Company also announces, as previously reported, that the 753,014 Class B Shares of the Company were converted into 7,530,140 Class A Shares effective December 29, 2009. As a result of the conversion, the Company now has 94,488,032 Class A Shares issued and outstanding.
