Apella Commences Further Field Work on Its Lac Dore North Iron-Vanadium-Titanium Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 4, 2009) -

Apella Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:APA)(FRANKFURT:NWN) and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce that further to its news release of June 19th, 2009 the Phase 1 work on the west side of the Lac Dore Deposit has been completed and further work on the Lac Dore North Project is underway.

Now that the company's initial phase of diamond drilling has just been completed on the Lac Dore North Vanadium-Iron-Titanium Project crews are now arriving to carry out further work on the Lac Dore North. A 40 km grid planned for the Lac Dore North and previously announced has now been completed. Mag Survey crews have now entered the property. As well geologists are also on site mapping the area. The grid, mag surveying and mapping are all in preparation of more diamond drilling that Apella plans to carry out as soon as possible.
