Applebee's® New Stuffed Pasta Items Are Stuffed With Flavor -- and Value

New Florentine Ravioli With Chicken and Provolone-Stuffed Meatballs With Fettuccini Added to Popular 2 for $20 Everyday Menu

LENEXA, KS--(Marketwire - August 26, 2010) -  The best deal in the neighborhood keeps getting better as Applebee's adds two new choices to its 2 for $20 menu. Applebee's guests can now enjoy the rich flavors of Florentine Ravioli with Chicken and Provolone-Stuffed Meatballs with Fettuccini on its 2 for $20 every day value menu. 

Before it was in vogue, Applebee's 2 for $20 menu led the industry in giving guests a shared dining experience by offering a generously sized appetizer and two classic meals -- all for only $20.

"Guests want great taste and great value," said Mike Archer, president, Applebee's Services Inc. "Our stuffed-with-flavor pasta dishes deliver both -- and they're only available at Applebee's."

The stuffed pasta dishes join a hearty line up of menu items, giving Applebee's guests more choice than ever in its 2 for $20 line up. The 2 for $20 menu appetizer choices include Spicy Queso Blanco, Crunchy Onion Rings, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Boneless Buffalo Wings and Mozzarella Sticks. Meal selections range from Applebee's signature Fiesta Lime Chicken to Oriental Chicken Salad, 7-ounce Sirloin steak to its famous Riblets.

Florentine Ravioli Chicken is comprised of tender pasta pillows cooked with herbs and brown butter, filled with a blend of Italian cheeses and spinach, and tossed with Applebee's own roasted garlic alfredo sauce. The pasta is blended with contrasting ingredients such as grilled chicken breast, fresh Bruschetta tomatoes, garlic-thyme butter and roasted red peppers -- and topped with shaved Parmesan cheese.

Applebee's own Provolone-Stuffed Meatballs with Fettuccini offers meatballs prepared with traditional Italian cooking techniques -- hot seared and slow cooked in sauce -- with a rich provolone cheese center. These stuffed meatballs are served on a bed of fettuccini alfredo and topped with fresh chopped parsley and shredded Parmesan cheese.
