Arena Solutions Announces Record Quarterly Bookings in Third Quarter

On-Demand Moves Upstream as Growing Numbers of Global Enterprises Adopt Arena PLM and Upgrade Deployments

FOSTER CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 7, 2006 -- Arena Solutions, the leading provider of on-demand product lifecycle management (PLM) software for manufacturers, today announced that it achieved record bookings in the third fiscal quarter of 2006, which ended on September 30, 2006. The quarter saw the adoption of on-demand move upstream, with a number of large global enterprises selecting Arena PLM for the first time and many others upgrading their deployments to the application's Enterprise Edition.

Arena PLM makes it easy for OEMs, suppliers and outsourced partners to collaborate in real-time around a single set of information -- regardless of geographic location or IT infrastructure. As a result, manufacturers are able to deliver higher quality products to market faster, better manage and maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate more effectively with an ever-expanding global supply chain for improved performance.

Among the global manufacturers selecting Arena PLM in Q3 2006 was Culligan International Company, a global innovator of high-quality water treatment solutions for business and residential use that's headquartered in Chicago with offices in 12 countries. Another was Enodis plc (LSE: ENO), a worldwide company focused on the design, manufacture and supply of food and beverage equipment, headquartered in the UK with global operations and technology centers in the US, factories in eight countries and more than $1 billion in revenue. Other new customers include: Sendum Wireless, a designer and manufacturer of wireless location devices based in British Columbia, and Frontier Silicon, a maker of semiconductor and modular solutions for digital multimedia products that's based in the UK with additional offices in Europe and Asia.

Also in Q3 2006, several existing Arena PLM customers upgraded their deployments to Arena PLM Enterprise Edition, thereby positioning themselves to leverage the application's full capabilities. Among them are International Truck & Engine, the operating company of Navistar International Corporation (NYSE: NAV) and a producer of trucks, buses and engines, and Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR) (TSX: SW), a developer of high-quality wireless communications products.

"On-demand has always been faster and cheaper, which companies of all sizes can appreciate," said Michael Topolovac, chief executive officer of Arena Solutions. "But with growing numbers of large companies adopting on-demand solutions, it further validates the fact that on-demand is not just faster and cheaper: it's also better, enabling functionality that could never be delivered on a traditional client/server platform. With on-demand PLM, for instance, users can access live content feeds from component vendors, make free global conference calls from within the application and share up-to-the-minute data with anyone, anywhere. More and more large companies recognize these fundamental advantages and realize that in a world of increasing pressures, only on-demand providers -- with their inherent flexibility and continuous innovation -- will be able to evolve their solutions as rapidly and inventively as manufacturers will need."
