Asia Now Finds Major Gold and Base Metals Zone at Beiya

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 29, 2007) - Asia Now Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:NOW) is pleased to report assay results for a recently completed drill hole at its Beiya property in Yunnan Province, China. When viewed in conjunction with previous drilling, these results indicate the presence of very extensive, thick, shallow gold and base metal mineralization, potentially amenable to large-scale open-pit mining. The newly discovered zone is adjacent to the +2-million-ounce Beiya Gold Mine, the largest open-pit gold mine in Yunnan.

Hole BYN-ZK3 intersected a total of over 130 metres of continuous gold, silver and base metal mineralization within which are two major intervals: 16.2 metres grading 0.53 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 19.98 g/t silver, 0.10% copper, 2.96% lead and 0.48% zinc and 52 metres grading 1.08 g/t gold, 27.40 g/t silver, 0.11% copper, 0.77% lead and 0.35% zinc. This hole is 1,200 metres west of drill hole BYN-ZK1 which intersected 18.2 metres grading 1.1 g/t gold and 28 g/t silver (see news release dated February 23, 2007). BYN-ZK1 was located 500 metres north of the open pit of the Beiya Gold Mine.

A new hole, BYN-ZK4, currently being drilled 160 metres east of BYN-ZK3, has intersected over 200 metres of mineralized and altered rocks similar to those in BYN-ZK3. In both holes the mineralized zone contains variable amounts of oxide and sulfide minerals, including sulfides of copper, zinc and lead (chalcopyrite, sphalerite, and galena). Assay results for hole BYN-ZK4 will follow when drilling and sampling have been completed.

"We are particularly pleased by the very thick, 130-metre zone of continuous mineralization in Hole ZK3, which is being confirmed by Hole ZK4," said Asia Now President Kaihui Yang. "Hole ZK3 is more than a kilometre from BYN-ZK1, but we expect that infill drilling currently under way will confirm the continuity of the thick mineralized zone that is open to the west and north of the property, and the high potential for a very large gold, silver and polymetallic deposit at Beiya North."

Based on the Company's current understanding of the host geology, it appears that the thick mineralized zone extends over at least 1,200 metres from east to west, and is open to the west and north on Asia Now's property. To the south it may extend into the mining lease of Beiya Gold Mine. To the east, the mineralized zone appears to be cut by a fault, east of which BYN-ZK024 found no significant mineralization to a depth of 230 metres.

The mineralization in BYN-ZK3 is hosted by shale, siltstone and fine sandstone, and is typified by stockwork and disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena and local magnetite. This type of gold mineralization differs significantly from the magnetite-associated gold found in the adjacent Beiya Gold Mine. These holes are part of a 2,000-metre drill program to test gold mineralization in the Beiya North block, one of two major gold areas that the company has identified in the Beiya property through use of soil and bedrock geochemical sampling. The second major gold anomalous area, covering over 12 sq. kilometres, is in the Beiya Far North block, and is also being drilled.

An additional drill rig is being moved onto Beiya North to accelerate drill testing the continuity of the mineralized zone between BYN-ZK1 and BYN-ZK4, as well as its extension to the west and north.

The Beiya project covers approximately 586 sq. km in Yunnan Province and involves two joint venture companies. The Company is earning a 70-88% interest in a joint venture with partner Yunnan Geology and Mineral Resources Company Limited and a 72-90% interest in a joint with partner Yunnan Non-Ferrous Geology and Mineral Resources Company Limited. The project area is 60 km by highway north of the city of Dali, which is a 35 minute flight from Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province. There are several daily flights, a railway and a paved highway between the two cities. The Beiya project is one of the two key projects that the Company is exploring in China.

SAMPLING, ASSAYING, QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALIFIED PERSON

Drill core samples were cut in halves using a diamond saw. One half of the core was sampled and assayed using aqua regia digestion with AAS determination for gold, and hydrochloric/perchloric (HCl/HClO4) digestion with ICP-MS determination for copper, molybdenum, silver, zinc, lead and others (a total of 35 elements). For samples with Cu grade higher than 1%, a four acid (HCl/HNO3/HClO4/HF) digestion method and AAS determination were applied. All the assays were completed at Intertek Laboratory in Beijing in accordance with international standard ISO17025. To maintain independent quality control on the laboratory, duplicate samples are submitted from 5% of sample sites, and replicate samples are submitted for 3% of samples. In addition the laboratories use an extensive range of internal standards. External check assays are routinely performed on check samples submitted independently by the Company to Ultra Trace Analytical Laboratories, Canning Vale, Western Australia.

Quality control and assurance programs are implemented in line with the standards of National Instrument 43-101, as described the independent 43-101 report filed on www.Sedar.ca. Exploration and financial controls are implemented in each of the company's exploration projects in Chinaas published on the website of the Company, www.asianow.com. Exploration on all of the Company's projects is conducted under the direction of Dr. Noel C. White, a director and consultant to the Company and a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101. Dr. White has read and approved this news release. Disclosure on mineralization on adjacent properties has not been verified by Dr. White and is not necessarily indicative of the Company's anticipated results. Where provided, potential quantity and grade is conceptual in nature as the Company has not conducted sufficient exploration to define a mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource.
