AtHoc and GTSI Announce Partnership to Bring Network-Centric Mass Notification Systems to Government Customers

SAN MATEO, CA and HERNDON, VA.--(Marketwire - December 16, 2009) - AtHoc, Inc., the pioneer and leader in network-centric unified emergency notification systems, and GTSI® Corp., an enterprise IT infrastructure solutions and services provider to government, today announced a partnership agreement to bring AtHoc IWSAlerts™ solution to GTSI's federal, DoD and state and local government customers.

The AtHoc solution provides organizations with an emergency alerting technology that can send out emergency alerts via the network to multiple personal and mass communications devices simultaneously. These include: computers, mobile devices, sirens, radios, television, telephones, mass email, push-to-talk devices and SMS text messages. The solution includes robust tracking and accountability, allowing organizations to muster personnel about their well-being, ability to perform duties and assessment of emergency needs.

AtHoc and GTSI partnered to meet customers' demands for new emergency notification applications and unified solutions that reduce costs and add value to existing IT investments. The partnership combines GTSI's experience in deploying enterprise-level solutions with AtHoc's leading IP-based alerting solutions. AtHoc can also be integrated into a more unified solution that leverages Cisco's and Microsoft's offerings to state and local governments, major federal agencies and branches of the military.

"AtHoc allows us to offer our customers an emergency notification system that they can deploy easily and quickly to meet a need for more comprehensive public safety in several areas," said Chris Pate, GTSI general manager, state and local practice. "Network-centric mass notification technology has become a high priority in our physical security practice to provide our government customers with state-of-the-art capability to protect their people and infrastructure."

"GTSI's expertise in comprehensive IT infrastructure deployments and its public sector focus are ideally suited to AtHoc's third-generation solution for emergency mass notification," said Dubhe Beinhorn, vice president of alliances and channels for AtHoc. "The combined strengths of GTSI and AtHoc enable customers to source infrastructure solutions incorporating a critical safety and security capability. AtHoc's technology builds on top of those infrastructure solutions, thereby maximizing the value of existing customer investments."
