Atlantis Systems Corp. Signs Contract for New Level 5 Grob-120 Flight Training Device With Visuals

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 14, 2010) - Atlantis Systems Corp. (NEX:AIQ.H) announced today that it has signed a new contract with Allied Wings for the design and development of an advanced FTD, as well as upgrades to existing courseware and flight training equipment, to enhance the Canada Wings Aviation Training Centre in Southport, Manitoba.

Allied Wings was awarded a contract in 2005 by the Department of National Defence (the "DND") and the Canadian Forces (CF) to deliver the Contracted Flying Training and Support (CFTS) program in Southport, Manitoba for a twenty-two year period. As a member of the Kelowna Flightcraft led Allied Wings team, Atlantis Systems International is responsible for the delivery of the integrated Ground Based Training System (GBTS).

The scope of this new contract includes:

  • the design, development and Transport Canada certification for a new Level 5 Grob-120 Flight Training Device with 220 degrees x 60 degrees visuals.
  • upgrade of the existing Transport Canada Level 4 Grob-120 Cockpit Procedures Trainer to a new aircraft configuration
  • upgrade of the two existing Grob-120 Desktop Trainers to a new aircraft configuration
  • upgrade of the Primary Flying Training courseware and the Phase II Grob courseware to represent a new aircraft configuration.

This new flight training equipment and upgraded courseware will enhance and extend the integrated Ground Based Training System currently being used as part of the CFTS services in Southport.
