Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. Announces Tenark Interstate Pipeline Open Season

TULSA, OK--(Marketwire - April 28, 2008) - Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. (NYSE: APL) announces today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent L.L.C. ("Atlas"), through Atlas' affiliate Ozark Gas Transmission, L.L.C. ("Ozark"), has posted a non-binding open season for potential shippers to request firm pipeline capacity on a proposed new natural gas pipeline extension. The proposed natural gas pipeline extension, designated as the Tenark Pipeline Project ("Tenark"), would extend from Ozark's existing interstate natural gas transmission system in White County, Arkansas to points of interconnection with Trunkline Gas Company and Texas Gas Transmission near Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Tenark is expected to consist of approximately 160 miles of 36-inch diameter pipeline, compression and related facilities. The pipeline will extend northeast from Ozark's existing interstate natural gas transmission system in White County, Arkansas to its terminus at interconnections with Trunkline Gas Company (Zone 1B) and Texas Gas Transmission (Zone 2) near Dyersburg, Tennessee. The initial capacity of Tenark is expected to be approximately 700,000 Dth/day with the potential to expand at a later date to a capacity of approximately 1,200,000 Dth/day. The ultimate capacity of Tenark will be determined by the level of shipper commitments. The projected in-service date for Tenark is November 1, 2010.

"Tenark will present Fayetteville Shale natural gas producers, who have rapidly growing natural gas supplies, with a new pipeline outlet providing market diversity and competitive netbacks. Tenark will be an alternate path to major pipeline interconnects with available downstream capacity to northern markets," said Steven R. Winston, president of Ozark Gas Transmission, L.L.C.

The Tenark Open Season began on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 8:00AM (CT) and will close on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 5:00PM (CT). Open season documents may be found on Ozark Gas Transmission, L.L.C.'s web site at
