Audyssey to Demonstrate Technology That Powers Many of the Industry's Leading Audio Products

Company Will Exhibit at Digital Experience Press Event in New York City's Chelsea District

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 23, 2010) -  Audyssey® today announced that it will exhibit at this evening's Digital Experience press event, hosted by Pepcom in New York City's Chelsea District. The company will demonstrate several of its sound technologies, which are at the core of many leading audio solutions for the home, automotive and home theater markets.

Audyssey is firmly rooted in the professional and consumer audio markets, having licensed its technology to many leaders in home audio and video, including Denon, Insignia, Marantz, Onkyo, Sanyo, Sharp and Toshiba. In addition, Audyssey works closely with companies such as Alpine, Jaguar and Volvo to perfect the automotive listening experience.

Audyssey solves audio problems. The company's first technology solved the problem of the room's negative impacts on sound. Audio is recorded and mastered in studios for playback in specially designed theaters. When those recordings are played back at home, the room changes the sound. MultEQ analyzes the room to find the problems and then builds an equalization solution to remove them. It also adjusts the speakers to maximize their performance. This solution has had a huge impact on the industry, winning multiple awards and bringing room calibration and equalization to the masses. Audyssey continues to develop technologies that solve audio problems and provide the ideal entertainment experience.

Audyssey's core technologies include the following:

Audyssey MultEQ automatically customizes the home theater system to overcome acoustical problems specific to each room. An optimized audio system produces the most clear and balanced sound possible.

Audyssey DSX takes surround sound beyond 5.1 with more speakers for an incredibly immersive and realistic home theater experience.

Audyssey Dynamic EQ maintains bass and rich sound at low volumes.

Audyssey Dynamic Volume controls volume levels to eliminate spikes and raise soft dialogue for more enjoyable television and movie viewing.

Audyssey BassXT takes subwoofers as deep as they can go. Small woofers sound big and big woofers sound bigger.

Audyssey ABX allows small speakers to produce bass that defies their compact size.

Since 2004, leaders in the home audio market and, more recently, the automotive market, have relied on Audyssey technology to fine-tune their consumer and professional products. Audyssey works in partnership with product development teams to understand the sonic limitations of their products and customize a technology solution that negates the impact of those limitations. In most cases, several Audyssey technologies are used to address specific problems, resulting in the most immersive listening experience possible.
