Autodesk to Showcase Capturx for Autodesk® Products at Autodesk University 2007

New Digital Pen and Paper Software Enables CAD Users to Mark-Up Paper Drawings and Automatically Update Digital Files From Anywhere

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - November 27, 2007) - Adapx (, the company that is changing the economics of field data management, today announced that the first public demonstration of Capturx for Autodesk® products will be held at the Autodesk University Conference in Las Vegas, November 27-29. Attendees can get a sneak preview of the Capturx enterprise-ready digital pen and paper software platform at the Autodesk Design Matters Showcase area as well as Adapx's booth #511.

"Capturx for Autodesk products has great potential for supporting the interaction between pre-construction planning and on-site project work," said Dace A. Campbell, AIA, design manager at Mortenson Construction. "The possibilities of using a digital pen and paper solution in the construction industry are almost limitless!"

Capturx for Autodesk products is the only field data management solution that doesn't require people to change how they work. Anyone who can use pen and paper can use Capturx for Autodesk products with zero training. Unlike expensive and cumbersome laptops, tablets, or PDAs, the Capturx software solution is far more portable and designed to work in any extreme environment. Most importantly, since Capturx for Autodesk products can integrate with the Autodesk Design Review (DWF) application, users can instantly mark up, annotate, and redline any CAD drawing and then upload their field data into DWF and ultimately into the AutoCAD application as soon as they return to the office. Using the Sheet Set Manager, data is automatically uploaded to the CAD drawing, not only saving time and resources but also reducing errors introduced when information is manually re-entered.

"By integrating with AutoCAD and other Autodesk products, Adapx enables our joint customers to take advantage of the latest design software technology," said Jim Quanci, director of the Autodesk Developer Network. "We are pleased to have the strong support of Adapx products for our customers who need to send markups from the field, construction site or factory floor."
