Avalanche Builds Team for Exploration on Project E, Ecuador

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 25, 2007) - Mr. Sandy MacDougall, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Avalanche Minerals Ltd. (formerly Avalanche Networks Corporation) (TSX VENTURE:AVH)(FRANKFURT:WL3), is pleased to announce that effective September 13, 2007 the TSX Venture Exchange has granted approval for the change of business as describe in the Company's filing statement dated August 28, 2007. This announcement culminates a lengthy process that has resulted with the Company now operating under the name Avalanche Minerals Ltd. We would like to thank our shareholders for their patience during this time.

The Company also wishes to announce the appointment of Carlos Arias as Vice President of International Projects and as a nominee for election as a director at the Company's upcoming shareholders' meeting being held on October 30, 2007.

Carlos Arias-Eguiguren is an Ecuadorian lawyer, specializing in Mining Law. He is a Doctor in Law with a Masters Degree in International Business Legal Studies (IBLS) from the University of Exeter, U.K. and holds a Diploma in Transactional Contracts from the International Development Law Institute, Rome, Italy. He has been several times a member of the Board of Directors of the Ecuadorian Chamber of Mines. He has been the General Manager of Aurelian Resources 2000 - 2004; General Manager of International Sovereign Energy Corp. (Ecuador Branch) 1999 - present; General Manager of Avalanche Resources Ecuador S.A. (Subsidiary of AVALANCHE MINERALS LTD.) 2006 - present. During his legal - mining career, he has helped several international companies successfully put together their projects in Ecuador as is the case of Aurelian Resources with the Condor Project, Largo Resources with the Cotopaxi Project, and Avalanche Minerals with Project E.

The Company is also pleased to announce it has retained the services of Edison Veloz and his geological team to fulfill the exploration program outlined in the 43-101 technical report on Project E located in the Province of Pinchincha, Republic of Ecuador. Edison Veloz, who is based in Quito, is a highly experienced Geological Engineer who works independently as a Mining Consultant and Mining Auditor and is also an expert in preparing Environmental Impact Studies and Management Plans. He worked as the National Director of Mines at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, as well as Regional Director of Mines of Pichincha Province in 2004 and 2005. He was Technical Manager of COAGREGADOS CIA. LTDA, 2005 - 2006 working as a Mining Auditor and Mining Engineer.
