Avaya Names 2009 Channel Partners of the Year

Avatel Technologies, Relational Technology Solutions, Verizon Business and Vision Technologies Take Top Honors for North America

BASKING RIDGE, NJ--(Marketwire - October 22, 2009) - Avaya, a global leader in enterprise communications applications, systems, and services today announced that Avatel Technologies, Relational Technology Solutions, Verizon Business and Vision Technologies have been named as the 2009 Avaya Channel Partners of the Year for North America. The awards honor the leading members of the Avaya channel partner program that demonstrated significant revenue performance, technical expertise and overall growth across key Avaya solutions areas during the past year. The awards were announced last week at the 2010 Avaya Global Sales and Americas Partner Conference in Nashville, TN.

The awards highlighted key partners from across the Avaya go-to-market strategy and included:

--  Avaya 2009 SME Partner of the Year: Tampa, FL-headquartered, Avatel
    Technologies was recognized for the company's alignment of efforts with
    Avaya's small and medium enterprise (SME) goals and support of the SME
    community at large, its focus on marketing and sales initiatives that
    quickly and effectively increased the number of new customers, and its
    development of internal talent that helped Avatel secure customer
    opportunities against the competition.
--  Avaya 2009 Enterprise Partner of the Year: Rolling Meadows, IL-based
    Relational Technologies Solutions (RTS) demonstrated the best execution of
    Avaya's High Touch Channel Centric strategy, focused on effective lead
    generation activities, achieved double-digit growth, and made significant
    investments in increasing the effectiveness of their sales and technical
    resources.
--  Avaya 2009 Service Provider Partner of the Year: Basking Ridge, NJ-
    based, Verizon Business, a Platinum certified partner in the Avaya channel
    program(1) demonstrated its continued commitment in 2009 by: embracing
    Avaya's High Touch Channel Centric strategy; further incorporating Avaya
    into its standard processes; and continuing to educate and train its
    employees on Avaya's product line to increase sales and support. In
    addition, Verizon Business implemented a new global distribution model to
    expedite the delivery of Avaya hardware to customers.
--  Avaya 2009 Services Partner of the Year: New York, NY-based Vision
    Technologies, was acknowledged for its 100 percent focus on the sale of
    Avaya Global Services, impressive revenue growth in 2009 and relentless
    concentration on customer satisfaction.
