Avery Dennison and TradeCard Announce Strategic Collaboration to Create New Generation of Supply Chain Services for Retailers, Manufacturers and Brand Owners

The Joint Effort Will Deliver the First End-to-End Product and Payment Visibility Solution That Integrates All Processes and Partners in the Extended Supply Chain

FRAMINGHAM, MA--(Marketwire - January 10, 2008) - A strategic collaboration between Avery Dennison (NYSE: AVY) and TradeCard has been announced that will deliver powerful new visibility and process automation capabilities to retailers, manufacturers and brand owners that source globally. The collaboration and investment will combine the features of Avery Dennison's InfoChain Express® (ICE™) supply chain visibility solution and TradeCard's Supplier Enablement Solution, hosted sourcing platform and financial settlement network. The solution will be available in a software-as-a-service environment. For the first time, companies that source merchandise globally will be able to obtain full visibility and process automation in financial settlements, shipping, packing and ASN creation through a hosted solution.

TradeCard and the Information and Brand Management Division of Avery Dennison will collaborate to deliver the new product in late 2008 and gradually migrate existing customers onto the new, hosted solution.

"After working together with several joint clients we realized that combining our services creates a one-plus-one-equals-three opportunity. This is a perfect match for Avery Dennison, TradeCard and our customers," said Kurt Cavano, CEO of TradeCard, Inc. "Avery Dennison's ICE product sets the standard for delivering business-rule-driven solutions to retailers and brands for supply chain visibility and order management. Together, we will help deliver the demand-driven supply chain model to enable speed, agility and business growth. Our solution will combine the features and functions of Avery Dennison's ICE and the TradeCard Platform for existing customers, joint customers and new customers."

The new product will enable buyers and suppliers to access extended supply chain services and utilize one central set of data for sourcing and supply chain finance processes. The strategic collaboration provides a unique offering of technology packaged with in-country and in-language support, rapid factory deployment, and complete supply chain visibility.

"TradeCard excels in building, delivering and running hosted applications for sourcing and financial settlement," said Kim P. Macaulay, vice president, Product Management & Strategic Business Development for Avery Dennison. "The partnership combines two best-of-breed providers for end-to-end visibility into the flow of product and payment throughout the supply chain to enhance supply chain execution and control all the way down to the factory floor. Customers will receive a feature-rich system with improved functionality for supply chain execution management, and the opportunity to expand their capabilities to include financial services available on the TradeCard Platform."

The strategic collaboration creates a combined customer base of more than 6,000 retail, apparel, footwear and consumer goods companies.
