NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 24, 2006 -- The British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles (BAFTA/LA) and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences are hosting an Online Celebrity Tea Party and the public is invited! In celebration of the 2006 Primetime Emmy® nominees from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, proceeds from the first-ever Online auction of celebrity-designed teapots and luxury merchandise will benefit both the Television Academy Foundation and BAFTA/LA's nonprofit foundation. In the past, the teapots were auctioned at the annual Tea Party held in Los Angeles -- where they have been a sellout each year -- and this marks the first time that the public has been invited to bid on and win the coveted teapots -- all of which have been designed and permanently autographed by leading celebrities.
