The Bank has arranged structures covering nearly the entire spectrum of aircraft financing products and topped two league tables for the Aviation Industry, as well as winning numerous industry awards including Jane's Transport Finance magazine's 'Aircraft Finance House of the Year'. Despite the current difficult market environment, the bank has confirmed its strong and unique commitment to the aviation industry.

Our Aviation Finance team is active in all regions of the globe and finances a variety of diverse aircraft for a wide range of clients. The group holds a dominant position in the Export Finance and commercial loan markets with a unique capability to arrange, syndicate or participate in facilities on behalf of airlines and leasing companies. BNP Paribas has arranged a very large number of innovative and tailor-made solutions by successfully combining efficient and flexible structures and competitive financing while meeting client and jurisdiction requirements.

The group was involved as arranger, underwriter or participant in close to 40 transactions on behalf of its aviation clients in 2009. They have financed 217 aircraft or engines assets and $8 Billion of new financing on behalf of airlines and aircraft leasing companies throughout the world.     Development of the new Eximbond structure (an innovative approach to fund
    Ex-Im-backed aircraft finance facilities through the capital market),
    Public Sector SCF (inaugural transaction for the newly established
    sovereign-backed covered bonds) and convertible issuance for a number of
    airlines and manufacturers.
--  BNP Paribas has arranged structures covering virtually the entire
    spectrum of aircraft financing products: Commercial Loans, Financial
    Leases, Pre-delivery Payment Financing, Export Credit Financing, Mortgage
    Operating Lease, Portfolio Financing Facilities, Non recourse Debt, Tax
    Leasing, Capital Markets and Securitization and Financial Advisory
    Services.
--  The bank was involved in the financing of all types of aircrafts:
    Airbus/Boeing wide body and narrow-body aircraft, regional aircraft, turbo
    props and business jets.
--  BNP Paribas has topped the only two league tables that are published
    every year by the AirFinance Journal.
--  BNP Paribas is the number one Arranger of Export Credit Financing and
    the Top Arranger of Japanese Operating Lease Financing.
--  BNP Paribas has been named Aircraft Finance House of the Year by Jane
    Transport Finance. This is the highest possible award issued by JTF.
--  Jane Transport Finance also awarded the Aircraft Leasing Deal of the
    Year - Asia to a transaction arranged by BNP Paribas for Malaysian
    Airlines. This was relating to the financing of 7 ATR72-500 for Malaysian
    Airlines under a JOLCO structure.
