BOWMORE Exploration Update- Drilling to Begin at Santa Elvira

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2009) - BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:BOW) ("The Company") is pleased to provide this update of exploration activities on the Santa Elvira gold-copper skarn property, located in Chihuahua State, Mexico.

Mineralization on the property is dominantly exposed near the northern limit of the property, at the Taskate I, II and III showings (previously called Obra showings). During late August, detailed channel sampling was undertaken at Taskate I, the principal mineralized zone on the property. This shallowly-dipping zone is exposed within a small artisinal adit. It comprises magnetite, pyrite and native gold. A total of 15 vertical channel samples of magnetite-rich exoskarn were collected from within the adit over a length of about 36 meters. Assays results done at ALS Chemex, tabled below, vary from 0.32 to 9.81 g/t Au and from 0.251 to 2.28% Cu, with average assays of 2.97g/t Au and 0.798%Cu.

A ground-magnetometer survey covering the northern portion of the property was completed in early September. The survey results show a significant magnetic anomaly measuring 600 meters by 300 meters, the northeastern limit of which is approximately coincident with area of Taskate showings. The anomalous zone extends to the west and southwest of the showings, though the source of the anomaly is obscured by a cover of carbonate rocks. The limits and shape of the magnetic anomaly suggest that the underlying geological units are modified by a system of faults and shears, which may be related to the emplacement of the magnetite-rich mineralization observed at the Taskate showings.

A brief program of geological mapping and sampling was undertaken on the property in late September, with a regional sampling program completed to establish the mineral potential of altered carbonate and diorite proximal to the known mineralization, and to establish a geochemical profile of the mineralized system. The results of the sampling program indicate that significant gold-copper mineralization is limited to the magnetite-rich zones, which is now the main focus of current exploration efforts.

Gold-copper mineralization on the Santa Elvira property is hosted within a shallow-dipping iron skarn, located at the contact of carbonate and diorite-granodiorite units. The mineralized zone is dominantly composed of massive magnetite and pyrite, locally with small amounts of copper-bearing minerals.

A base camp has been established north of the Santa Elvira property, and an access road to the area of the Taskate showings is nearing completion. A drill is scheduled to be on site for a 2000 meter program at the beginning of December, at which point the magnetically anomalous zone will be tested for mineralization similar to that observed at Taskate.

All assays were obtained by standard 30 g fire assaying-AA finish at ALS Chemex laboratories in Val d'Or, Quebec. Mr. Jean Marie Pronovost P. Geo. is the Qualified Person responsible for the technical information reported in this news release.
