BURGER KING® supports SickKids with annual Toonie Bear campaign

– Heroic stories of inspirational children featured in national fundraising campaign –

Attention: Assignment Editor, Food/Beverage Editor, Health/Medical Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, NEWS RELEASE--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2007) - BURGER KING® RESTAURANTS OF CANADA INC. is kicking off the fourth year of their annual Toonie Bear Fundraiser in support of SickKids Foundation and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

From now until November 30, customers are invited to make a donation at their local BURGER KING® restaurant in return for a paper Toonie Bear. Customers can sign and personalize their Toonie Bear, which will be displayed in the restaurant.

"Over the past four years, the success of the BURGER KING® Toonie Bear campaign has continued to grow," said Cameron Loopstra, Marketing Manager, BURGER KING®. "We're proud to support SickKids Foundation and play a small role in helping to give children from coast-to-coast the chance to enjoy healthy, active lives."

Toonie Bears are available for purchase both in-store and at the drive-thru window at participating BURGER KING® restaurants.
