Global ePoint announced yesterday the introduction of its Mass Transit Video Surveillance Systems, a new digital video security solution targeting the Mass Transportation marketplace. With world tension being at an all-time high Global ePoint has a good position on homeland security and is presently trading up 50% today. BWR will be keeping Global ePoint on the top of our radar to gauge the long-term and short-term effect of this most recent corporate development.

BEI Technologies announced this morning that they have been acquired by the French electrical equipment maker Schneider Electric for $35 per share in cash. As expected shares are now trading around the $35 dollar mark. BWR feels that this is a very positive step for BEI and will continue tracking its progress over the coming weeks.

Adolor is currently trading up 13% in early market. The company received an approvable letter from the FDA for Entereg capsules, an investigational drug under review for the management of postoperative ileus. The letter does mention that before the application may be approved, it will be necessary to provide additional proof of efficacy to the FDA to support the use of Entereg following bowel resection surgery. BWR will follow this company to see what corporate developments are available in the coming weeks.

Broadcom is trading up 13% today on higher than average volume. The company received word today that Merrill Lynch raised their price target to $50 from $41. As well as the research firm Needham & Co upgrading their action from underperform to hold. BWR will continue doing our aggressive due-diligence to further our knowledge of this company.
