Bank of Georgetown Hires Tyisha Cottman as VP, Manager for New Downtown D.C. Branch

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - October 9, 2007) - Bank of Georgetown, a community bank chartered in Washington, D.C., has hired Tyisha Cottman to lead its new downtown D.C. branch as vice president and branch manager.

Cottman has more than 10 years of experience in local banking, most recently serving as assistant vice president and branch manager with Fidelity & Trust Bank in Washington, D.C. In this role, Cottman was responsible for the overall financial performance of Fidelity & Trust's Georgetown branch, with emphasis on deposit acquisition, commercial lending and non-interest income generation. She also was responsible for team recruitment and management, and proactively initiated, developed and managed long-term, profitable relationships with a wide variety of clients.

Prior to working with Fidelity & Trust Bank, Cottman also held positions at several other D.C.-based financial institutions, including Branch Banking & Trust, Franklin National/BB&T and Nations Bank. She began her career as a teller, advancing into more senior positions including relationship banker, banking officer for retail clients and banking officer for commercial clients.

Cottman attended the University of the District of Columbia.
