VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 22, 2009) - League Assets Corp. announced today the appointment of Barbara Hendrickson as its new Vice-President, Legal and Sustainability, to complement its legal team -- thus demonstrating its commitment to the community and the environment by helping move the investment industry through greener and more sustainable business practices.

"We're very pleased to have Barbara join us at League," says Adam Gant, one of League's Founding Partners. In addition, she'll be able to help us to meet our objectives to ensure that our operations are environmentally sustainable."

Ms. Hendrickson is experienced in the areas of securities, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and fund structuring. Most recently a partner with the Toronto law firm of McMillan LLP, she previously worked for the U.S. law firm of Baker & McKenzie LLP and the Ontario Securities Commission. A past editor of the CCH Securities Newsletter, which follows developments in securities regulations across Canada, Ms. Hendrickson has also published a book on institutional investment in Canada, Canadian Institutional Investment Rules (CCH, 2003). She is currently working on a book on American securities law for Canadian lawyers.

A recognized expert on sustainability and corporate governance, Ms. Hendrickson was a speaker at the recent United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. She has extensive experience advising companies listed on both Canadian and American exchanges and is an advisor to the University of Toronto Centre for the Environmental Finance Advisory Committee. She has also been consulted by the Ontario Securities Commission on the development of disclosure standards for public companies in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility.

"Attending the Conference was the opportunity of a lifetime," says Ms. Hendrickson. "It provided me with an opportunity to work with like minded people to contribute to the development of an international regime to reduce carbon emissions. League's commitment to long term sustainability goals is consistent with its commitment to Intergenerational Wealth."
"Barbara's appointment fulfills our mandate to find the most capable individual to lead our in-house legal team," says Brien Biondi, League's President and Chief Operations Officer.
