Bard Ventures Ltd. and Cross Lake Minerals Ltd.: High
Priority Targets Identified, Diamond Drilling Planned

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 10, 2005) - Bard
Ventures Ltd. ("Bard") (TSX VENTURE:CBS) and Cross Lake Minerals Ltd.
("Cross Lake") (TSX:CRN) collectively referred to as the "Companies" are
pleased to present this update of activities on the Ingenika/Swannell
Property, North Central British Columbia (the "Property"). The Property
is located in the Omineca Region of North Central British Columbia.

Following the successful completion of the previously announced 2-D and
3-D induced polarization (I.P.) orientation survey over the adjacent
Ingenika Mine (22,677 tonnes grading 6.1% zinc, 9.8% lead and 119.9 gpt
silver, Minfile No. 094C 002), which clearly showed a high conductivity
and resistivity anomaly over the Mine, this initial north grid was
expanded to cover a highly prospective area east and southeast of the
Mine. A larger south survey was then completed to cover the projected
trend between the Onward Showings and the Swannell Showings, a distance
of over 4 kilometers. In total 88.3 kilometers of survey was completed
during the fall program. The North grid totaled 18.8 kilometers and the
larger south grid 69.5 kilometers.

The results from these surveys have now been processed and are being
reviewed to identify diamond drilling targets. To date several anomalies
have been selected within the north grid and the results from the south
grid also indicate several priority targets. As a result of the positive
results from the IP survey the Companies are now proceeding with the
planning of a follow-up diamond drilling program. This program will test
up to 10 high priority drill targets within both the north and south
grid.

The Ingenika/Swannell Property hosts three zinc-lead-silver showings
within a 9-kilometre by 4-kilometre area underlain by the prospective
carbonate host formation. The area has little outcrop and previous
geological mapping and prospecting have shown wide spread evidence of
zinc-lead-silver mineralization. A more detailed summary of previous
exploration results is included in Companies Press Release dated
September 13, 2004. Bard is funding exploration on the Property under
the terms of an Option Agreement to earn a 50% interest in the Property.
Cross Lake is the Operator of the program. The geophysical survey was
completed by SJV Geophysics Ltd. Exploration work is being conducted
under the supervision of Qualified Person Jim Miller-Tait, P.Geo, Vice
President, Exploration of Cross Lake.
