Bark Busters Crowns Mega-Aggressive Falcor as Canada's Naughtiest Dog

SQUAMISH, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 13, 2009) - Out of 170 entries from across the country, Bark Busters announced today that Falcor, the American Eskimo from Dorchester, Ontario, out-barked the competition and is officially Canada's Naughtiest Dog. The contest, launched in June by the world's largest dog training company Bark Busters, was designed to dispel the myth you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

"Falcor won Canada's Naughtiest Dog contest because he jumps, barks and bites and was so disruptive to his owners Sarah and Andrew Trudgeon that they held off on starting a family," says Jeff Cooke, President, Bark Busters Canada. "So many others like the Trudgeon's are needlessly suffering with poor behaviour from their dogs and the fix is quite simple - Bark Busters typically curbs naughty behaviour in just three hours and our results are guaranteed for the life of the dog. Help is here."

As Canada's Naughtiest Dog, Falcor is the lucky recipient of Bark Busters's in home dog training service complete with a written lifetime guarantee as well as the opportunity to host a Bark Busters group training session for 10 of his four-legged friends. Bark Busters will also make a $500 donation on Falcor's behalf to a registered animal shelter or rescue organization of the owner's choice.

While Falcor is Canada's Naughtiest Dog, the following four chewers, biters and jumpers won for their regions:

- Kobi of Langley, BC is best known for her biting and aggressive behaviour: http://tinyurl.com/mdqney

- Emma of Edmonton, AB is also a notorious biter and barker: http://tinyurl.com/npjrt8

- Abby of Durham Bridge, NB is infamous for chewing apart the household: http://tinyurl.com/loryga

- Sebastien of Laval, Quebec belongs to a dog trainer and is a chewing and barking machine: http://tinyurl.com/lzggry

Each regional winner will receive Bark Busters in-home dog training complete with a written lifetime guarantee. A $250 donation will be made on the winner's behalf to a registered animal shelter or rescue organization of the owner's choice.

Of the 25 national finalists, 90 per cent barked excessively, 60 per cent were chronic chewers, 50 per cent jumped on people, 40 per cent exhibited separation anxiety, 40 per cent pulled on the leash when being walked and 35 per cent showed aggressive tendencies to either dogs or people. In terms of owners, 20 per cent had given up hope entirely on training their dogs and 10 per cent stopped having guests to their home because their dog's behaviour was too disruptive.
