Battery & Wireless Solutions Inc. Announces 2005

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 7, 2005) - The Board of
Directors of Battery & Wireless Solutions Inc. (the "Company") (TSX
VENTURE:BWS) is pleased to report that the fiscal year 2004 saw the
Company achieve many goals that will result in significant growth and
business opportunities in fiscal 2005.

Among these goals and perhaps the most significant is the Company's
commitment to initiate a national presence for Magnacharge Battery
Corporation. This will have the effect of securing better buying
relationships with manufacturers and will also result in increased sales
to the Company's national customers, who currently are only being
serviced on a regional basis. The realization of a completely
independent market channel for battery manufacturers in Canada
represents a unique and valuable business proposition. Additionally, as
the Company expands its Battery World formats into new markets it will
be able to leverage the physical distribution capabilities of
Magnacharge to more efficiently deliver products to geographically
dispersed markets. The Company and its directors look forward to
executing on this opportunity and to demonstrate growth and
profitability as a result.

The Company has recently hired a new controller whose job it will be to
manage all internal accounting, finance and administrative functions.
Mr. David Edmunds has over 15 years experience in his profession in
manufacturing and distribution environments and is already having a
significant impact on the administration of the core businesses.

The Company also announces that effective January 1, 2005, Brian
Cameron, currently a consultant to the Company and a member of the Board
of Directors, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer. Mr.
Cameron is an accountant, with over twenty-five years experience in the
public markets and as a former regulator in British Columbia understands
the requirements incumbent upon public companies. Mr. Cameron is
intimately knowledgeable with respect to all of the Company's business
affairs and has worked closely with the CEO for over 9 years.

Effective December 31, 2004, Ms. Jennie Choboter is no longer with the
Company. The Company acknowledges the contributions made by Ms. Jennie
Choboter during her tenure and wishes her well with her future endeavors.

Continuing with the goal of strengthening both the Board and management,
the Company is presently reviewing a short list of candidates for an
addition to its independent and statutory Board. William Atkinson has
resigned as a director effective January 3, 2005.
