Bayou City Announces Change in Leadership of Company

HOUSTON, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 15, 2006 -- Today, Bayou City Exploration (OTCBB: BYCX) Chairman of the Board, Robert D. Burr, announced that Mr. Wayne Hardin will begin employment on or about November 15, 2006, and become President and CEO of Bayou City Exploration on November 29, 2006. Mr. Hardin has acted as a consultant in the oil and gas area for over 20 years. He has provided consulting services from time to time for Blue Ridge Group, Inc., an affiliate of the Company, and has also provided consulting services to Bayou City.

Morris Hewitt intends to resign as President and CEO of the Company for personal reasons on November 28, 2006. Bayou City Exploration wishes Mr. Hewitt well, and sincerely appreciates his efforts while at the controls of the company.

Mr. Burr states that Wayne Hardin, a well established Oil and Gas Industry veteran, who holds a Petroleum Engineering Degree from LSU, and a Law Degree from South Texas College of Law, will provide Bayou Exploration with a very high degree of Professionalism and Leadership.

Mr. Hardin brings vast experience to the top seat at Bayou City, having been Chief Operating Officer for Texas General Resources, Inc., President and Chief Operation Officer for National Exploration Company, and Vice President of Mitchell Energy and Development, now known as Devon Energy.
