Beaten Twice by Mother Nature, itravel2000 Decides to Launch Let It Snow Again

With vacation pay outs 2 years in a row, travel retailer continues free vacation promotion

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 17, 2009) - itravel2000 kicked off its successful Let It Snow program today that will again have Canadians from coast to coast wishing for snow this New Year's Day. The Let It Snow program will reward Canadians with a free winter vacation if it snows more than five inches on January 1, 2010. As well, this year itravel2000 has added even more incentive for people to book early.

Let It Snow is the largest travel promotion in Canadian history having had thousands of Canadians enter in the first two years. The first year of Let it Snow had participants in Quebec getting free trips when more than 5 inches fell at the airport in Montreal. The second year of the promotion had Atlantic Canada getting free trips when more than 5 inches of snow fell at the Halifax International Airport.

"We're thrilled to bring back the Let it Snow program for its third year. It was an incredible success last year - participants from Atlantic Canada won their vacations and Canadians across the country were excited to see how much it was going to snow on New Year's Day," said Jonathan Carroll, President of itravel2000. "We expect this year's program to be an even bigger success and with an even bigger incentive this year to book early, Canadians will see they really have nothing to lose and possibly lots to gain when they book their winter vacation with itravel2000."

Anyone who books a qualifying vacation with itravel2000 between June 17 and November 2, 2009 can get their vacation for free - if it snows more than 5 inches on January 1, 2010. If it snows enough at the required weather stations, customers will receive a cheque to reimburse them for the retail price(less taxes and fees), of their vacation upon their return.

To be eligible, Canadians must book their vacations between June 17 and November 2, 2009 for departures between November 1, 2009 and April 30, 2010.

A further incentive was added this year for customers. itravel2000 will pick up the departure taxes for those who book their vacation by July 31, 2009 if the January 1 snowfall requirement come to fruition.

itravel2000 has again partnered with Sunwing Vacations, Sunquest Vacations, Signature Vacations, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar Tours and Contiki Holidays for this exclusive promotion.

itravel2000 is also proud to announce that with the previous success of the promotion, new suppliers have been added to increase the options for customers. Costa Cruises, Carnival, Encore Cruise Escapes and Holiday House are all new suppliers to the promotion this year.

The Let it Snow program will be covered by WeatherBill, the world's only online weather risk management service that allows businesses to protect revenue from the effects of bad weather. "We have again taken out the largest single-day weather coverage in history. WeatherBill's significant risk capacity and simple, automated service for managing weather risk and promotions make them the perfect partner given the large scale of the Let it Snow program," said Carroll.

Canadian consumers who book with itravel2000 will qualify based upon postal code and where they live in Canada. There will be four snow measurement points across Canada. The snow measurement point for Atlantic Canada is Halifax, for Quebec it is Montreal, for Ontario it is Toronto and for western Canada, the territories and Nunavut the snow measurement point is Calgary.

"With having winners the first two years of the promotion, we can only hope to continue with the trend," said Carroll.
