Beazer Homes Rebuilds Sales and Customer Care Processes With the Help of Bluewolf and

Customer Interaction and Agent Productivity Improves With Salesforce CRM and Bluewolf

ATLANTA, GA and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 10, 2009) - Beazer Homes USA Inc., an Atlanta-based national home builder with active communities in 16 states across the U.S., is leveraging the experience of leading agile consulting firm Bluewolf and Salesforce CRM from to enhance sales and customer care processes, Bluewolf today announced.

Like other companies in the home building industry, Beazer has been hit hard by the housing downturn of the past several years. Now the company is in the midst of a makeover that will enable it to take advantage of the slowly recovering housing market -- and position itself for growth well into the future. As a key part of that effort, Beazer is looking to strengthen the sales and customer care processes. The initiative is helping Beazer, one of the top 10 home builders in the U.S. (based on the number of homes closed), in its recovery from the slumping home-buying market.

Beazer Director of Information Technology Joe Harris will participate on Bluewolf's panel on "Extreme Makeover: Customer Care Edition" at Dreamforce 2009,'s user and developer conference, on November 18, to share experiences of undergoing an extreme makeover of the home builder's customer care processes and technology. Dreamforce will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Nov. 17-20.

"Now we're seeing glimmers of hope that the negative market trends in the housing industry are moderating," said Cindy Tierney, CIO, Beazer Homes. "We are leveraging innovative technology such as Salesforce CRM and services from Bluewolf to improve our operations and move ahead with our business."

As a result of the Salesforce CRM implementation, Beazer has realized improvements throughout the sales organization, including improved customer interaction and agent productivity; an increase in user adoption; improved overall data quality to drive sales and marketing initiatives; decreased time required to generate key sales reports from days and hours to minutes; and dramatically improved sales visibility, accountability and collaboration across the company.

"Bluewolf looked at Beazer Homes as a uniquely American story, and wanted to take this opportunity to help an established organization position its foundation for future growth and prosperity," said Jolene Chan, managing director, Bluewolf. "We are excited to take part in the next wave of business growth at Beazer Homes."

Before working with Bluewolf, Beazer had an outdated CRM solution with limited capabilities. The system's limitations led to underutilization by Beazer's sales representatives because it was cumbersome to use. Bluewolf implemented Salesforce CRM for Beazer, while helping it deploy enhanced sales processes and integrate them with the existing Beazer Online Sales System (BOSS) for managing proposals and contracts.

As a result, Beazer now has a new solution that improves customer management with its robust capabilities as well as provides a user-friendly interface to fuel its adoption by users. With's technology and Bluewolf's services, Beazer can now capture and centralize data on potential and existing home buyers, realtors and other partners, and enhance sales performance management through easily accessible analytics and reporting.

In addition to the traditional sales process management, Bluewolf created unique functionality to provide Beazer sales representatives with an income calculator to estimate earnings through new home sales. Bluewolf OpenSupport, an ongoing customer support program, provides Beazer with continuous, proactive enhancement of the solution.

Now with Salesforce CRM, Beazer Homes is poised to take advantage of the eventual upturn in home building. The solution gives the company a 360-degree view of its customer's lifecycle, from the time they show interest in Beazer Homes to the time they sign a contract and beyond.

"Our experience with Bluewolf has been remarkable," said Joe Harris, director of IT, Beazer Homes. "Bluewolf was the best fit for our organization during our initial interview. By teaming with Bluewolf through the process of discovery, design, development and deployment, we were able to innovate in ways we could never have done alone."

Harris added, "Bluewolf consultants encouraged us to think outside of our normal industry standards as we configured our Salesforce CRM deployment to fit our new business processes. With its support, Beazer has customized Salesforce CRM to allow its users to concentrate on customers that have a higher probability of purchasing a home."
