Belmont & Montoro Exploration Programs Commence on Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan-Uranium Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 29, 2007) - Belmont Resources Inc. ("BEA") (TSX VENTURE:BEA)(FWB:L3L) and International Montoro Resources Inc. ("IMT") are pleased to announce the completion of the first phase exploration program on the Companies 750 hectare Crackingstone Uranium Project located on the north shore of Lake Athabasca and 8 km SW of Uranium City, Saskatchewan. This exploration program commenced in December 2006 and completed last week by Durama Enterprises Limited of La Ronge, Sask. consisted of 87 km of line cutting, the establishment of grid lines and the initiation of a geophysical survey along the lines, as well as 4 km of boundary surveying. The geophysical survey was also 87 km of Mag/VLF-EM. This geophysical survey is the first time that a modern geophysical approach has been carried out on this property. Both ground and airborne geophysical surveys have been used extensively in the search for structural features which controls uranium mineralization. Interpretation of the survey results will immediately follow and results will be reported upon completion.

Historical uranium exploration on the property through trenching, surface channeling and grab sampling, with numerous shallow drill holes from a depth of 9 meters to 122 meters resulted in obtaining uranium values from grab samples up to 12.53% U3O8, drill core intersection of up to 15.6% U3O8 (# 7 Adit), and two bulk samples (46 ton and 6.5 ton) assaying 0.5% uranium. A sample (#336915) taken from the # 7 Adit during the 2006 property visit assayed 6.54% Uranium. Full information on this project has been submitted as a NI 43-101 technical report and is available for viewing on the Company website at or alternatively on SEDAR under the October 30, 2006 technical report filed at

The Crackingstone Uranium Project is located 8 km southwest of the community of Uranium City via an all weather gravel based road. The road branches off south-southeast at the 8 km mark and continues southeasterly to the Lorado, Cinch and Box Mines. Past Uranium production came from four occurrences in the region; the Cinch, Lorado, Rix Smitty and Leonard occurrences. The Cinch and Rix Smitty mine produced a total of 1,869,000 pounds of U308. Uranium showings occur on the ground to the north, east and south of the property and are held by private parties and other public companies.
