Bharosa Announces Universal Installation Option for Online Security Software

SANTA CLARA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 3, 2006 -- Bharosa, a global provider of active fraud detection and multifactor authentication solutions, today announced the availability of a new "universal" installation option for its software.

The universal option enables any industry-standard third-party or custom online business applications to be seamlessly layered with the Bharosa solution and to be maintained through the original installation.

From day one, a single implementation and solutions "bundle" satisfies all critical authentication requirements for the enterprise, such as FFIEC requirements in the financial services industry, as well as achieves other important goals, including unifying applications at the front end, through Single Sign On (SSO), and at the back-end, through Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). This capability is in high demand in the banking industry, where numerous applications, from bill pay to cash management, typically lack a common authentication interface, causing frustration among both the business and end users.

"The market has demanded an approach which helps achieve multiple goals, without multiple integration efforts," said Thomas Varghese, president and CTO of Bharosa. "With this new option, enterprises gain an advanced fraud detection and two-factor authentication solution from Bharosa and can also leverage that solution, at minimal cost and effort, as a foundation for a host of other security-related benefits."

As the name "universal" conveys, the method establishes one interface for maintaining multiple, disparate authentication schemes across any standard software products available on the market today. There is no impact to the existing applications, or extra integration required.

The new offering adds to Bharosa's already extensive range of flexible integration options. Other options which are popular among small and midsize enterprises include a turnkey "zero-touch integration" option and an appliance-based option.
