Bivio Networks to Secure Traffic for Super Computing 2007

Leading Deep Packet Inspection Vendor to Demonstrate High-Performance Network Appliance

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - November 5, 2007) - Bivio Networks, the leader in high-performance network appliance platforms enabling the deployment of wire-speed, deep packet processing applications, today announced that the Bivio 2000 (B2000) appliance has been selected to help manage the network traffic at Super Computing 2007, November 10-16, 2007 in Reno, NV.

The B2000 is a high-performance, programmable network appliance that combines groundbreaking scalable hardware architecture with a software platform that includes a standard Linux-based execution environment and a comprehensive set of networking features. Commodity internet traffic to the Super Computing network will be fed to a security device, powered by the B2000, which enables robust traffic management, load distribution across the multiple Application Processor CPUs, high availability and system management integration.

B2000 will simultaneously run three software programs on the appliance, passing all data from the network. Each application will be configured to log traffic, so Super Computing can easily and effectively monitor the network for potential attacks.

In addition to helping manage the show's network, Bivio is exhibiting (booth #3147) and will provide demonstrations of the B2000 at the show.
