BlueArc Named a 2010 Best Channel Vendor by Business Solutions Magazine

BlueArc's Partner Acceleration Program Recognized for Second Consecutive Year

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - January 4, 2010) - BlueArc® Corporation, a leader in scalable, high-performance unified network storage, today announced that it has once again been selected by Business Solutions magazine as one of the year's Best Channel Vendors. For the second consecutive year, valued added resellers (VARs) independently participating in Business Solutions' annual survey ranked BlueArc among the top storage vendors due to high customer and partner satisfaction for products, programs, service and support.

BlueArc's ranking is based on the results of a web-based survey conducted by Penn State University in the fall of 2009. VARs were invited to rate vendor partners on their channel program, service/support, margins, and product features, innovation and reliability.

"The response to our survey this year was excellent," continued Bresee. "We generated 12,073 votes from 1,354 BSM reseller subscribers. The 1,354 resellers represent an estimated $8.8 billion in annual sales, making this one of the largest surveys of its kind."

Despite one of the most challenging economic periods in recent history, the recognition comes following a milestone year for BlueArc and its partner program. In addition to successfully releasing the Mercury™ storage system, a premium network attached storage platform for businesses with mid-range storage requirements, BlueArc also expanded its VAR roster by 30 percent in 2009 and expanded its global network. Today the Partner Acceleration Program includes more than 130 partners worldwide. BlueArc also invested heavily in program enhancements, including channel-only bundles and wider deal registration spread for increased margins, improvements to its partner information portal and the development of a new online partner training network.
