BlueCat Networks Named Official DNS/DHCP/IPAM Supplier for Interop Las Vegas and Interop New York 2007

BlueCat Networks' Adonis and Proteus Appliances to be deployed at Interop Las Vegas and New York

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 22, 2007) - BlueCat Networks Inc. announced today that it has been named the official DNS/DHCP/Address Management provider for Interop Las Vegas 2007, to be held May 20 - 25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, and for Interop New York 2007, which is scheduled to take place October 22 - 26 at the Javits Center in New York City.

Following an extensive and competitive RFP process, BlueCat Networks was chosen to provide all Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Internet Protocol (IP) Address Management (IPAM) services for the InteropNet, the network backbone which provides reliable, high-speed network service to all exhibitors, conferences and meeting rooms at the Interop events.

BlueCat Networks will deploy its award-winning Adonis 1000 DNS/DHCP and Proteus Enterprise IPAM network appliances at Interop Las Vegas and Interop New York in 2007, the most comprehensive business technology events in North America.

"We are very pleased to be working with BlueCat Networks in delivering the latest technology solutions to Interop and the business technology industry," said Lenny Heymann, Interop General Manager. "The selection process is a highly competitive one, with our providers of choice representing some of the best solutions available in the market today."

"To be selected as the Interop provider of choice for the core DNS and DHCP network services provided by the InteropNet is a very fitting and exciting way to start the new year," said Michael Hyatt, CEO of BlueCat Networks. "It reinforces the significant advancements and benefits that our purpose-built network appliances deliver to the market today."

The Adonis 1000 is designed to manage both DNS and DHCP services within a single scalable platform that plugs into any network. It enables network administrators to harness a comprehensive suite of tools and wizards to securely configure, deploy, and administer IP addresses, configurations, and DNS. It also shields an organization's DNS against server and protocol attacks such as spoofing, ID hacking, and cache poisoning.

BlueCat Networks' Proteus Enterprise appliance, which made its debut at Interop Las Vegas 2006, combines carrier-class control with secure end-to-end DNS, DHCP and IP inventory management. Based on a multi-core architecture, Proteus is the first purpose-built appliance dedicated to designing, deploying and managing mission-critical IP-based networks.
