Booktastic! Celebrates First Year Anniversary, Now Available in Over 1,000 Stores

SACRAMENTO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 29, 2005 -- Booktastic! today announced it is celebrating its first year anniversary as national distribution continues to increase for its new literary board game. Since its release one year ago, Booktastic! is now carried in over 1,200 retail outlets throughout the United States, including Borders and Barnes & Noble.

"The success we have experienced in our first year has far exceeded my expectations," said Laine Keneller, president of Booktastic! "When the game was released one year ago, it was not available in stores. To now be carried in the two largest book retailers in the world is very exciting."

June 2005 marked Booktastic's first anniversary of business operations. In addition to landing national distribution, the game has been featured in USA Today, Publishers Weekly, The Christian Science Monitor, and The London Telegraph. The game has also caught the attention of several best-selling authors. "The game was developed out of my love of books, so it was absolutely thrilling to receive praise and encouragement from authors included in the game," said Keneller.

An Australian/New Zealand edition is currently under development, and a family edition featuring children's literature is slated for August 2005 release. "Future editions relied heavily on the success of the current modern literature edition," said Keneller. "We are looking forward to continued growth in the upcoming holiday season, which will allow us to expand our product line."
