Box Office Tickets Introduces Calendar Service; Launches PDX Cultural Calendar™ in Portland

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - November 25, 2008) - Box Office Tickets Inc. (BOT) has introduced a new calendar service, which makes it easy for communities to create, maintain and share online event calendars. The new service allows organizations to use the boxofficetickets.com® network to automatically share and update content across multiple websites in real-time.

"As the number of locations where event listings need to be posted and updated grows, it's becoming increasingly difficult for marketing managers and event promoters to maintain calendar postings. Our calendar service allows everyone to participate, including the end user, promoter, and even other websites that provide calendar listings," says George Domurot, President/CEO of Box Office Ticket Inc.

The calendar service connects people to events, both paid and free. Event and theater managers can post events and shows that are ticketed through boxofficetickets.com® services, that are free -- or even ticketed through another service -- allowing for the consolidation of all calendar listings in one system.

PDX Cultural Calendar™ goes live in Portland, Oregon

Recently, Film Action Oregon (FAO) and BOT unveiled a new, jointly sponsored community calendar for cultural organizations and artists in the Portland metropolitan area. Built on the BOT calendar service and hosted online at http://PDXCC.net, the new PDX Cultural Calendar™ is a user-friendly online database of cultural events that allows everyone in the Portland Metro area to share their listings. Everyone benefits from one central calendar of events, with the latest and most accurate information.

The calendar service is free to presenting arts organizations. In addition to posting, editing and sharing their calendars with others on the system, they can use it to power their own website content, updating content just once and sharing it everywhere.

The PDX Cultural Calendar™ can be searched by date, genre, keyword and neighborhood. It can also be linked as the backend source for other websites. Newspapers and radio stations, for example, with their own event calendars, can sign up for the service via subscription, allowing them to focus on revenue generation through advertising.

The PDX Cultural Calendar™ builds on the PDX Ticket Network™, a local community box office service initially funded, supported and operated by FAO and BOT for the Portland Metro area. The network enables local organizations to sell tickets over the Internet and offer walk-up services through the FAO-staffed Hollywood Theatre -- all at no charge. PDX Ticket Network™ presenting partner calendars are auto-synced with the PDX Cultural Calendar™.
