Brazilian Mining Welcomes New COO Murray Owen

GARDNERVILLE, NV--(Marketwire - April 16, 2010) - Brazilian Mining Corporation (PINKSHEETS: BRZM) announces the recent appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) Murray C. Owen, who will report directly to the CEO of Brazilian Mining Mike Dillon. Owen's primary responsibility will be to manage the company's subsidiaries, which includes Terrax Inc. "I look forward to working with Mr. Owen. He brings a vast knowledge from several industries as well as being an accomplished manager."

Owen's experience comprises 20 years of web and technology sales, deployments and business development. His recent position was Vice President of Marketing for a search engine-marketing firm where he was in this role for four years, Owen had responsibility for the corporate web site; SEM services development and proposals, as well as client engagements (Encyclopedia Britannica). Owen has participated in the growth of the web from the mid 1990s to its current iteration. 

Past responsibilities include P&L management ranging from $5 to $95 million with roles as Director, General Manager, VP Sales, and Account Executive. During this time, Owen delivered over $300 million in technology platforms and services to business and government. In the 90s, Owen followed an executive team where he developed marketing operations and provided collaboration between cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, sales & marketing). His company tenures include Wang Laboratories, SHL System House (EDS), AST Research, and Micron Electronics (MPC). 

Owen makes his residence in Boise, Idaho. Here, he has an attachment to the Pacific Northwest where he has made it his home for the past 20 years between Victoria, BC and Boise, Idaho. Owen is an avid skier, lacrosse coach, windsurfer, and hockey player.
